You know I always thought it would be fun to have a playlist for the book. So, songs that go with each character, or each scene. And you know, I write to music as well. I mean I have a song in the background on when I write, sometimes I’ll listen to it over and over. I think it’s an ADD thing, the repetitive nature helps me focus, or something. In any event, see if you agree with these song choices and I’d love to know if you have any other ideas or songs you love and think might be perfect for Kate, Nick, and Mac!
First off, true confession time. One night Kate and Grace got drunk and went to a Karaoke bar which is odd since Grace hates karaoke. It’s amazing what a few too many cocktails will do. Anyway, though both girls are wildly talented in their own ways, neither of them can sing a note. Here is the song they picked for their duet debut:

Call me crazy (no pun intended) but I think that if Kate had a song for her job – and sometimes her authors – it would be this one:
What do you think, do these songs work? Music is so important, in all aspects of life, but especially when it comes to how it affects our memories. A song can take you back to a time that makes you laugh out loud, or break down in tears, with just one line. You can be out in public and all of a sudden be unabashedly moved to stop whatever you’re doing to give that memory its due.
Music is a powerful thing.
